When the body dies, you continue.

That's because you are not a piece of meat, despite what you may have been taught! When your body croaks, you return to a state of pure joy and well being, and you remember every experience that has ever happened to you.

When you truly understand that you cannot die,

• Life becomes much easier.

• Anxiety and tension are lessened.

• You discover a sense of confidence and well being.

• You have much more compassion for your fellow man.

• You like yourself a whole lot more, and in turn you become more likeable.

Deep down inside, you already know who you are! You just need to be reminded. 
Sometimes, having another person say it can jump-start your awareness of self.

 What would it be like to talk to your father after he died?

My father and I always had  an uneasy relationship. He was a policeman, a devout Catholic, and believed very strongly that certain things were right and everything else was wrong. He did not come to my wedding because I did not marry within the Catholic church. As a result, we did not speak for 15 years.

Toward the end of his life, however, we had a reconciliation. Even so, we were polar opposites in everything except temperament. If dad believed A, I believed B. If dad thought X was important, I thought X was stupid. My father, I always thought, was born old. He was so conflicted and fearful, even when he was younger, that I often felt sorry for him.

But that all changed one day after he died.

The day after his death, on my daily walk, I suddenly felt his presence. It totally blew my mind. He began to communicate to me like I had always imagined father and son would. But this time, dad felt like the kid and I felt like the old man! (I am 55).

What is Heaven like?

He told me what it was like for him after he left the body. He told me about "heaven." Sound weird? It did to me at first! But it really isn't so weird after all, because "heaven" is just what happens to us after consciousness leaves the body.

Is this discussion too weird for you?

It is, only if you believe that your awareness is somehow extinguished after the body dies. If you ponder that for a while, however, you'll begin to realize how nonsensical it is.

Because consciousness is non-physical, non-corporeal beings exist. It's really quite simple, and logical as well. The nutty idea is that your awareness of self is somehow extinguished upon the death of the body!
